Before the exterior home remodeling, the backyard was a jungle. It had everything going against it – wilderness, weeds, no walkways, and a patio that has seen better days with a gazebo ready to collapse. As if this bad scenery wasn’t enough, the landscape has an uplifting inclination. But this challenging spot gave room for some creating thoughts, which opened the wings of the home remodelers.
The home remodeling designers followed the slope of the landscape and placed stairs, creating a tiered garden with flower beds in the middle and leaving the upper zone for tree plantation. The area in front of the home was covered with large stone pavers and was split into zones – a green zone in a wavy design – a motif repeated in the ground level flower bed, an open zone, and a seating area under a pergola with a roof.
Brick walls act as the partitions of the multi-level landscape, defining the areas and making the backyard friendly and modern. The whole idea was to take advantage of the big backyard and use the challenges for its own benefit by creating different areas of activities while leaving plenty of green spots.
