Bathroom Renovation In San Diego CA 92116
White tiles in all shapes and patterns are the dominant element in this gorgeous bathroom. In the narrow, walk-in shower alone, we see three different tiles – both base and wall tiles. The rear wall is covered with hexagon tiles and hosts the showerhead. The long walls on the side are covered with the typical rectangular-shaped white tiles. Both patterns have black grout and all trims are black to beautifully pair the black & white base tiles.
This same black & white tile pattern with the geometric design actually covers the entire bathroom floor, while the white rectangular tiles reach mid-way up the walls, as wainscotings do. The upper part of the wall is covered with dark grey concrete to perfectly match the concrete round-shaped freestanding bathtub.
Free of any ornaments, this is a Moroccan-inspired bathroom with a minimalistic approach. You won’t find the typical bathroom vanity here but an old-style sink in a contemporary design with polished nickel elements, which perfectly match all bathroom faucets.
Two more points of interest: the upper bathtub niche is actually an open shelf through which one can see the showerhead. Also, did you notice the expanding puzzle globe pendant lighting fixture at the center of the bathroom?
