Room Addition Project
The most crucial part of a room addition project is the initial phase. That’s when the room addition plan is created and there’s a need for blueprints, permits, designs – many things. Just it’s always done, this home’s structure was checked and everything was calculated and evaluated. This was a backyard room addition next to the bathroom. Our priorities were plenty: square footage, building codes, blueprints, planning, permits, choosing materials, talking with the homeowners – many steps.
The worksite was prepared, the foundation and basic structure were set, the frame was constructed and then it was time for sheathing, roofing, electrical, insulation, drywall, flooring – all finishing touches, including doors and windows as well.
The steps are plenty and never easy with room additions. But this was one more successful project – one which gave extra room to the homeowners since there was sufficient yard space.
